The article outlines the prospects for the interaction of constructive journalism and artificial intelligence to overcome the challenges that, at this stage of the development of the information society, the mass media system faces, which actively incorporates the latest trends in interaction with the mass audience and seeks to overpower competitors emerging in the field of traditional journalism. Artificial intelligence for constructive journalism is an obvious competitor for the audience’s attention, capable of satisfying the same requests and needs for constructive advice and solutions, while it is also a potentially powerful means of increasing its professional competitiveness. It is about proactively involving artificial intelligence in the implementation of communication intentions of constructive journalism in the interests of the public in the field of journalism itself as a social institution and a creative and productive field of activity. The article presents considerations on how constructive journalism and artificial intelligence can come to the realization of a partnership scenario in professional information activities. It is indicated that a competitive feature of constructive journalism is its social rooting: when assessing a problematic situation, potentially effective solutions, or a success story, it involves the author’s full immersion in everyday, empirical, social practice through the participation in the preparation of the publication of a real journalist/journalists who meet with experts, see the heroes with their own eyes, and face the problem, and not just work with relevant information resources and have only the text as experience, which artificial intelligence operates with. It is also important that conceptually, given the nature of the socio-communication impact, constructive journalism is a high-quality information product with prolonged effects, because it not only provides specific solutions, but also sets a person up for positive social changes both today and in the future. That is why productive cooperation between a media professional and artificial intelligence for the needs of constructive journalism is possible precisely within the field of traditional journalism, that is, taking into account professional and ethical requirements for media activities, and it is seen as work in two main areas: artificial intelligence as an auxiliary tool and a source of primary information regarding the content of the publication and its packaging; artificial intelligence as an auxiliary tool and a source of information of a media anthropological and mediametric direction. Artificial intelligence gives modern journalism new opportunities, and cooperation with it must be combined with expert control, which is carried out only by a media professional as a professional journalist. Journalists should already be taught to work with artificial intelligence, which is what all new educational programs for media professionals should be focused on, otherwise we will have a situation where the media industry lags behind the speeds and demands of the modern information age.
