dc.description.abstractLeadership as a phenomenon of social life is universal as it can be in any sphere of human life. It can also exist at several levels from a small group to a nationwide level. Any political system as a historical epoch in terms of their existence requires appropriate political leaders, especially acute question of a political leader in terms of transformation processes of the system. The study of political leadership in politics mainly conducted within political psychology, which focuses on the characteristics of the personality of the leader, his followers and the characteristics of the relationship of political leaders and their followers. Ukraine at this stage of its development is in a state of "transition" to democracy, and during this period the political system requires the formation of effective political institutions. Therefore, this issue is relevant because the study of political leadership as an institution in the scientific literature, case studies are not sufficiently developed. In this article the analysis institute political leadership institutions in the system of political power.en
