Анотація
У статті викладено результати оцінювання екосистемних послуг чорноземів в межах зрошувальних меліоративних систем Одеської області. На основі агромеліоративної оцінки зрошуваних чорноземів регіону проведено чіткий зв’язок з надання екосистемних послуг досліджуваних ґрунтів. На фоні посилення деградаційних процесів у ґрунтах в умовах змін клімату рекомендується відновлення зрошувальних систем в Одеському регіоні, в яких зрошувані ґрунти мають добре збережені екосистемні функції. Запропоновано використовувати мультикритеріальний інтегральний показник екосистемних послуг зрошуваних чорноземів для оптимізації землекористування та наукового обґрунтування сталого розвитку територій регіону.
Problem Statement and Purpose. The article presents the results of the assessment of ecosystem services of chоrnozems within the framework of irrigation and reclamation systems of the Odesa region. Based on the agro-reclamation assessment of irrigated chоrnozems of the region, a clear connection was made with the provision of ecosystem services of the studied soils. Data and Methods. The work used general scientific and specific scientific research methods of soil science, physical geography, ecology, etc. When conducting the study, the comparative-geographical method and general scientific approaches and methods (analysis, comparison, generalization, forecasting, etc.) traditional for soil science and geography were used. The source materials for assessing the impact of irrigation on the chоrnozem soils of the region were the stock materials of the Department of Geography of Ukraine, Soil Science and Land Cadastre and the Problem Research Laboratory of Soil Geography and Soil Cover Protection of the Chernozem Zone (PNDL-4). To achieve the goal of assessing the ecosystem services of soils, an interdisciplinary approach was used, which takes into account the ecological and geographical features of the study area and the ecological and economic assessment of the potential of irrigated chоrnozems, etc., namely, the establishment of the supply and supporting ecosystem services of irrigated chоrnozems. Results. The implementation of a comprehensive integrated assessment of ecosystem services of irrigated chоrnozems of the Odesa region demonstrates the insufficiency of current and detailed data on the qualitative state of the region’s soils. First of all, we are talking about the incompleteness of data that make it possible to assess the regulatory and supporting functions, which generally determine the ecological component of the assessment. The results of the assessment of ecosystem services confirm the generally good state of the initial (reference) soils for comparison. The integrated assessment of the ecosystem supply and support services of irrigated massifs demonstrates a completely good state for the Petrodolinsk and Bashtanivskyi stationary areas. At the Petrodolinsk stationary area, highly productive chоrnozems are irrigated with high irrigation quality water from the Dniester. Within the Bashtanivskyi stationary area, the southern chоrnozems are also in a very good state in the stage of irrigation evolution under the influence of limitedly suitable irrigation quality transformed water from the Danube. Instead, with the deterioration of the quality of irrigated waters, the less buffered southern chоrnozems lose bioproductivity almost twice as much as the initial parameters (Trapivskyi stationary). The optimal indicators for the provision of ecosystem services are irrigated chоrnozems within the existing land reclamation systems using drip irrigation agrotechnology, even in conditions of limited water availability for some quality characteristics. At the same time, even in conditions of cessation of irrigation for almost a 30-year period, chоrnozems within the Trapivskyi stationary are determined to be in unsatisfactory condition, within the Desantnenskyi and Vynohradivskyi stationary — in satisfactory condition. Against the background of increased degradation processes in soils under climate change, it is recommended to restore irrigation systems in the Odesa region, in which irrigated soils have well-preserved ecosystem functions. It is proposed to use a multi-criteria integral indicator of ecosystem services of irrigated chоrnozems to optimize land use and scientifically substantiate the sustainable development of the regions.
