Анотація
Over the last decade, the world has become more competitive and less secure due to geopolitical conflicts, economic crises, terrorism, climate change and hybrid threats that complicate migration flows. The researchers note that “281 million people, or 3.6% of the world's population, are currently migrants, of whom 169 million are labor migrants. Their number has increased by 84% over the past 30 years, with forced migration increasing by 400%”.
The migration policy of the European Union is a unique example of interaction among nation-states, human rights, and international partnerships. The EU and national governments are forced to strike a balance between domestic interests and international obligations as migration flows increase in 2020-2024, driven by both humanitarian and economic factors.
