dc.description.abstractУ статті досліджується роль інтернет-мемів у сучасній політичній комунікації. Обґрунтовано, що меми трансформувалися з розважального контенту у важливий інструмент впливу на громадську думку та політичні настрої. Показано, що завдяки простоті, емоційності та віральності меми здатні спрощувати складні політичні процеси та формувати ставлення до подій і акторів. На прикладах проаналізовано функції мемів у мобілізації аудиторії, конструюванні політичних наративів та використанні в інформаційних війнах. Визначено, що в демократичних системах меми сприяють участі та критиці влади, тоді як в авторитарних – можуть виступати інструментом пропаганди. Окрему увагу приділено ризикам їх використання, зокрема спрощенню політичного дискурсу та поширенню дезінформації. Зроблено висновок про подвійний характер мемів як інструменту, що одночасно розширює можливості політичної комунікації та створює нові виклики для демократичних процесів. uk
dc.description.abstractThe article examines the role of internet memes in contemporary political communication. It is argued that memes have evolved from purely entertaining content into an important tool for influencing public opinion and political attitudes. Due to their simplicity, emotional appeal, and virality, memes are capable of simplifying complex political processes and shaping perceptions of events and political actors. The paper analyzes the functions of memes in audience mobilization, the construction of political narratives, and their use in information warfare. It is demonstrated that in democratic systems memes facilitate participation and serve as a means of criticizing authorities, while in authoritarian regimes they may function as instruments of propaganda. Particular attention is paid to the risks associated with their use, including the simplification of political discourse and the spread of disinformation. The study concludes that memes have a dual nature as a tool that both expands opportunities for political communication and creates new challenges for democratic processes.en
