dc.description.abstractThe article is devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of the process of international negotiations, highlighting their functions and typology, to determine the main characteristics of the Ukrainian-Russian negotiations aimed at ending the war, and assess their effectiveness. By analyzing the definition of principles and attitudes relevant to the conduct of international negotiations, it seems possible to increase the predictability of the behavior of negotiators, reduce uncertainty and help create a climate of confidence in the negotiations, so that the parties to the conflict can quickly find a common solution to a common problem. Looking directly at the Ukrainian- Russian negotiations on ending the war that Russia unleashed, we highlight the main mistakes and violations, due to which further effective decision-making becomes impossible. This undermines the significance and competence of supranational and international organizations, their laws, charters, which in turn leads to a complete change in the global security policy of the world. The study of this aims to prove that States have an obligation, regardless of differences in their political, economic and social systems, to cooperate with each other in various areas of international relations with a view to maintaining international peace and security. Also promoting international economic stability and progress, general the welfare of peoples and international cooperation free from discrimination based on such differences.
