У статті розглядаються можливі
варіанти розгортання подій довкола так
званого «корейського питання» та
можливі шляхи його врегулювання. Велика
увага приділена позиціям глобальних
акторів стосовно проблеми ядерної
програми КНДР як основного фактора
протиріч. Проводиться аналіз зовнішньо-
та внутрішньополітичного становища
акторів та регіону.
This article examines possible scenarios for the development of events in relation to the so-called "Korean issue". Much attention is given to the influence and the positions of global actors on the problem of the DPRK's nuclear program as the main factor of the conflict. An analysis of the external and internal political situation of the region is made as well. The issue remains tense, and the DPRK's foreign policy has also not changed. The solution can only be achieved in case if there comes a change in the understanding of the significance of the nuclear program for the DPRK, combined with normalization of relations in the region for the sake of joint building a solid peaceful system on the Korean peninsula. In the long run exists a possibility both of peaceful resolution of the conflict and establishment of relations between the two powers even up to theoretical unification of the East and West Koreas into one developed country with high potential so that united Koreas could play an important role in the region as well as escalation into an open conflict phase, which would only be possible in the extreme case and is not win-win for either side. First and foremost, for the DPRK itself.
