Анотація
Стаття присвячена аналізу системи фінансування міських проєктів в Одесі у другій половині ХІХ – на початку ХХ століття. Досліджено джерела доходів міського бюджету, роль позик, податків, приватних інвестицій та благодійних внесків у реалізації інфраструктурних ініціатив. Значну увагу приділено участі місцевої громади, меценатів, підприємців та представників національних громад у фінансуванні будівництва шкіл, лікарень, вулиць, культових споруд та інших об’єктів. У роботі також використано архівні документи та матеріали періодичної преси, що дозволяє простежити механізми розподілу й контролю бюджетних коштів на рівні міського самоврядування.
This article explores the financing system of urban projects in Odesa during the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. It examines the sources of municipal income, including loans, taxes, private investments, and charitable contributions that supported infrastructure initiatives. Special attention is given to the participation of local communities, philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and ethnic groups in funding the construction of schools, hospitals, streets, religious buildings, and other public facilities. The study utilizes archival documents and materials from the local press, which provide insight into the mechanisms of budget allocation and financial control at the municipal level.
