Анотація
У статті розглядається роль соціальних мереж як інструменту інтеграції переміщених осіб у Греції в умовах сучасних міграційних процесів, зокрема, в контексті повномасштабної війни в Україні. Автор аналізує ключові відмінності між поняттями «біженець», «мігрант» і «вимушений мігрант», звертаючи увагу на їхнє значення для міграційної політики. Особлива увага приділяється впливу цифрових платформ − таких як Facebook, Instagram та Twitter – на адаптацію українських біженців у грецькому суспільстві. Наведено приклади урядових та неурядових ініціатив, а також українських діаспорних осередків. Зазначено як позитивні, так і потенційно негативні наслідки впливу соціальних мереж на процес інтеграції. Робота підкреслює важливість цифрової інклюзії для ефективної адаптації переміщених осіб у країнах притулку.
This paper explores the role of social media as a tool for integrating displaced persons in Greece in terms of current migration challenges, particularly in the context of the full-scale war in Ukraine. The author analyzes the key distinctions between the terms “refugee,” “migrant,” and “forced migrant,” highlighting their relevance to migration policy. Special attention is given to the impact of digital platforms - such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter - on the adaptation of Ukrainian refugees within Greek society. The paper presents examples of governmental and non-governmental initiatives, as well as Ukrainian diaspora organizations. Both the positive effects and potential risks of social media influence on the integration process are discussed. The study emphasizes the importance of digital inclusion for the successful adaptation of displaced persons in host countries.
