Анотація
В статті розглядається космічна програма Китайської Народної Республіки (КНР) як елемент зовнішньої політики та геополітичної стратегії держави. Аналізується, як технологічні досягнення Китаю в космосі — від запуску місій на Марс до створення орбітальної станції «Тяньгун» — впливають на глобальний баланс сил. Висвітлено історичну еволюцію китайської космічної галузі з 1950-х років, а також роль обмежень з боку США у формуванні прагнення КНР до стратегічної автономії. Розглянуто плани Китаю щодо побудови місячної бази та участі в нових «космічних перегонах», які охоплюють дослідження Місяця та далеких планет.
The article explores the space program of the People's Republic of China (PRC) as an instrument of the country’s foreign policy and geopolitical strategy. It analyzes how China’s technological advancements in space — from Mars missions to the development of the Tiangong orbital station — influence the global balance of power. The historical evolution of China's space sector since the 1950s is highlighted, as well as the impact of U.S. restrictions on Beijing’s pursuit of strategic autonomy in space exploration. The study also considers China's plans to establish a lunar base and participate in a new wave of “space race” activities focused on the Moon and other planets.
