dc.description.abstractМета статті – проаналізувати колекцію творів відомого галичанського лінгвіста, поета, етнографа, фольклориста, історика, бібліографа та громадського діяча, одного із зачинателів нової української літератури Галичини Я. Головацького, виявити шляхи надходження примірників прижиттєвих видань до бібліотечного фонду, окреслити коло його колег-славістів, що мали відношення до Новоросійського університету в Одесі та поповнювали фонд університетської бібліотеки. uk
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the article is to analyze the collection of works Ya. F. Holovatsky, a famous Galician linguist, poet, ethnographer, folklorist, historian, bibliographer and public figure, one of the founders of the new Ukrainian literature of Galicia as well as to reveal the ways of the acquisition of editions published in his lifetime to the Odesa University library and outline the circle of Holovatsky’s Slavist colleagues who were related to Novorossiyskyi University in Odesa and replenished the university library stocks. It was found out that the Scientific Library of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University owns a small but important collection of a famous Slavist Yakiv Fedorovych Holovatsky’s works. Thanks to ownership signs, records of the Inventory Catalog and library seals, it was possible to trace the main ways of copies’ acquisition by the university library. We believe that the management of the library of the Imperial Novorossiyskyi University (as well as the predecessor of the university - the Richelieu Lyceum), as such, had no goal of collecting the most complete set of works of the famous Slavologist and professor of the Lviv University. During the author’s lifetime, only four publications replenished the main stocks of the Novorossiyskyi University library. A significant part of these acquisitions were given by author himself to the library and private individuals, as evidenced by gift inscriptions on books. Unlike the official university authorities, Slavist researchers O. O. Kochubynskyi, O. I. Markevich, M. G. Popruzhenko, V. M. Voitkovskyi, A. Storozhenko, O. I. Smirnov who maintained personal contacts with Ya. Holovatsky, replenished their libraries with a Galician researcher’s works, which later went to the university library either as gifts or as a part of dispersed collections. The collection of lifetime publications of the famous researcher Ya. Holovatsky from the stocks of the Scientific Library of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University can serve as a source of further scientific research both for linguists, historians and for library specialists.en
