Анотація
У фокусі уваги авторки статті — книга Ришарда Капусцінського «Гебан». У ній журналіст об’єктивно та точно відтворює факти. І водночас висловлює своє бачення цих фактів. У статті викладаються результати вивчення авторської суб’єктивності на основі аналізу структури текстів, з яких складається книга «Гебан». На рівні тематичної структури відзначено неоднорідність та аморфність, які мотивовані у статті тим, що для Капусцінського головним було створення атмосфери подій, точніше — духу тієї Африки, яку він побачив. Аналіз фактологічної структури дав змогу дійти висновку, що у книзі «Гебан» факти образно трактуються і типизуються автором.

Автор статті зробив висновок про те, що, незважаючи на відсутність жорстких логічних зв’язків між окремими частинами текстів, кожен з них є цілісною системою і одночасно частиною більшої системи — книги в цілому. Об’єднують усі елементи в єдине ціле авторська концепція (яким автор вважає дух сучасної Африки) та авторська суб’єктивність (як автор ставиться до змін).
This article explores ways to study how authorial subjectivity manifests itself in verbal text. The focus is on texts from Ryszard Kapuściński’s book “The Shadow of the Sun” (“Heban”). These texts are examined as journalistic works. The author’s objectivity and accuracy in recreating facts are mandatory, as these are journalistic materials, not works of fiction. The article’s primary research methods are systemic-functional (distinguishing textual components — titles, paragraphs, beginnings, and ends — and examining their role within the work system) and typological (comparing the organization of texts within the book to identify patterns, which, in turn, serve as the basis for drawing conclusions about the author’s distinctive style). The author’s subjectivity is revealed through an analysis of the structure of the texts in “Heban”, their internal space. The thematic structure of the texts is noted to be heterogeneous and amorphous. This characteristic is motivated in the article by the fact that the author’s primary aim was not connected with informing the reader, but with creating an atmosphere of events, or more precisely, the spirit of the Africa he encountered. An analysis of the factual structure allows the author of the article to conclude that the facts (primarily social and mental) in “Heban” are figuratively interpreted and typified by Ryszard Kapuściński. An analysis of the architectonics as the external structure of the works allowed to conclude that, despite the lack of rigid logical connections between individual parts of the texts, each is a part of coherent system and simultaneously part of a larger system — the book as a whole. Furthermore, the beginning of each section of the book contains a thesis that is subsequently motivated and illustrated, so a return to this thesis at the end of the text is no longer unexpected. All elements are united into a coherent whole by the author’s concept (how the author understands the spirit of modern Africa) and the author’s subjectivity (how the author evaluates change). The author’s subjectivity manifests itself in the way the texts are structured.
