Анотація
У статті досліджується трансформація «особливих відносин» між США та Великою Британією в умовах постбрекзитної міжнародної системи, що характеризується фрагментацією та зростанням ситуативності міжнародних альянсів. Проводиться аналіз історичної еволюції англо-американських відносин — від конфронтаційного етапу та колоніальної моделі до формування стійкого стратегічного партнерства, яке суттєво впливає на глобальні політичні процеси. Особливу увагу приділено ролі Великої Британії як посередника у взаємодії США та Європи, а також наслідкам втрати цієї функції після виходу з Європейського Союзу. Розкрито економічний, політичний і безпековий виміри «особливих відносин», зокрема зміну характеру трансатлантичної торгівлі, зниження інвестиційної довіри та трансформацію координаційних механізмів у сфері безпеки. Окремо проаналізовано вплив Brexit на позицію Великої Британії у глобальній системі, включно з її участю в нових безпекових форматах, таких як AUKUS, та переорієнтацією на Індо-Тихоокеанський регіон. Визначено, що попри інституційні зміни, «особливі відносини» залишаються ключовим елементом зовнішньої політики обох держав, хоча їхній зміст зазнає поступової адаптації до нових геоекономічних реалій.
The article examines the transformation of the “special relations” between the United States and Great Britain in the context of the post-Brexit international system, characterized by fragmentation and increasing situativeness of international alliances. The analysis of the historical evolution of Anglo-American relations is carried out – from the confrontational stage and the colonial model to the formation of a stable strategic partnership, which significantly affects global political processes. Special attention is paid to the role of the UK as a mediator in cooperation between the United States and Europe, as well as the consequences of losing this function after leaving the European Union. The economic, political and security dimensions of “special relations” are revealed, in particular, the changing nature of transatlantic trade, the decline in investment confidence and the transformation of coordination mechanisms in the field of security. The impact of Brexit on the UK’s position in the global system, including its participation in new security formats such as AUKUS, and its reorientation to Indo-Pacific, is analyzed separately.
