Анотація
В дослідженні шляхом порівняльного аналізу простежено основні тенденції розвитку доктринальних основ зовнішньої політики США в 40 – 80-х роках ХХ століття.
The work is focused on analyzing the doctrinal foundation of the US foreign policy in 1940-1980’s. The relevance of this topic is confirmed by the fact that today the US is one of the most powerful actors in the international arena. Analysis of the shaping process of doctrinal foundations of the US foreign policy will help to understand and forecast the directions and goals of its modern foreign policy. This work researches the evolution of the doctrinal foundations of the US foreign policy in the 1940-80's. The very process of transformation of doctrinal foundations can be divided into 3 stages. The first stage includes the first post-war doctrines and begins immediately after the end of the Second World War. The main architects of new US policy were US President G. Truman, and later - D. Eisenhower. The main purpose of this policy was maintaining and expanding the sphere of influence in Europe right after the war. The second stage starts with beginning of the presidential terms of US Presidents John F. Kennedy and L. Johnson. The complexity of this period is confirmed by the fact that, at the first, the concept of "peaceful engagement" and "bridge building" prevailed in the US Government. However,
