Анотація
Об’єктом дослідження представленої наукової роботи є соціолінгвістичні опитування як джерела інформації у вирішенні лінгвістичних конфліктів, які ми розуміємо як зіткнення національно-мовних інтересів представників різних мовних спільнот через нерівність статусів мов усередині двомовного або багатомовного суспільства. Предметом дослідження постало мовне питання в Україні, яке протягом усіх років незалежності в період передвиборчих кампаній використовувалося політичними елітами як предмет спекуляцій для мобілізації свого електорату. На думку багатьох дослідників, мовне питання в Україні безпосередньо пов’язане із визначенням національної ідентичності, тому соціолінгвістичні опитування містять серед інших і запитання щодо національної ідентичності. Мета пропонованої роботи полягає у спробі визначити корелятивні зв’язки між політико-ідеологічною аджендою в країні та результатами опитувань. Звичайно, що російська агресія не могла не вплинути на мовне питання в країні. Поряд із впливом офіційних політико-ідеологічних дискурсів на мовну політику в Україні починає здійснювати вплив так звана агентність, адже в мовних суперечках беруть участь мовні активісти або агенти, що постало предметом окремих наукових досліджень у європейських та вітчизняних працях. Результати. Порівнюючи результати соціолінгвістичних опитувань упродовж усіх років незалежності, науковці намагаються з’ясувати суспільні тенденції щодо вирішення мовних конфліктів. Проте політичні еліти продовжують використовувати мовне питання для розбрату в суспільстві, незважаючи на те, що соціолінгвістичні дані свідчать про вторинність мовного питання для громадян України, принаймні у довоєнний період. Висновки. Навіть оптимістичні результати опитувань, що дійсно підтверджують наявність певних, але вже не таких суттєвих розбіжностей між мовними орієнтаціями різних груп населення України, не надають гарантій щодо безконфліктного співіснування на мовному ґрунті, адже конкуренція між політичними елітами здатна знову представити мовне питання як конфліктогенне та погляди людей як поляризовані й безкомпромісні через конструювання відповідних політико-ідеологічних дискурсів.
The object of this research is sociolinguistic surveys as a source of information in resolving linguistic conflicts, which we understand as a clash of national and linguistic interests of representatives of different language communities due to the inequality of language statuses within a bilingual or multilingual society. The subject of the study is the language issue in Ukraine, which has been used by political elites during election campaigns throughout the years of independence to mobilise their electorate and speculate. According to many researchers, the language issue in Ukraine is directly related to the definition of national identity, so sociolinguistic surveys include questions about national identity, among other things. The purpose of this paper is to try to determine the correlations between the political and ideological agenda in the country and the results of the polls. Results. By comparing the results of sociolinguistic surveys throughout the years of independence, scholars are trying to identify social trends in resolving language conflicts. However, political elites continue to use the language issue to divide society, despite the fact that sociolinguistic data show that the language issue was secondary for Ukrainians, at least in the pre-war period. Conclusions. Even the optimistic results of the surveys, which do confirm the existence of certain, but not so significant, differences between the linguistic orientations of different parts of the Ukrainian population, do not provide guarantees of conflict-free coexistence on linguistic grounds, since competition between political elites can again present the language issue as a conflictogenic one and people’s views as polarised and uncompromising through the construction of relevant political and ideological discourses.
