    Digitization process in a changing global environment

    This article aims to analyze modern technologies' impact on business process management approaches in the context of digitization and innovative management. Drawing on an extensive literature review, the study explores key themes such as the role of digital technologies in transforming traditional business practices, fostering innovation, and addressing market demands. The problem under investigation centers on the evolving nature of business process management in response to rapid technological advancements and the need for innovative strategies. The research is guided by the hypothesis that digitization and innovative management are critical drivers of efficiency, productivity, and competitive advantage in the contemporary business environment. A mixed-methods approach was employed to test this hypothesis, combining statistical data analysis, case studies of leading global and Ukrainian enterprises (including Amazon, Nova Poshta, and SoftServe), and regression modeling. The study sample includes data from eight enterprises and insights from 15 managers representing various industries. The results indicate that adopting digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and IoT, significantly enhances business process automation, customer interaction, and organizational efficiency. The findings highlight notable growth trends in digital transformation indicators, including profitability, innovation output, and market competitiveness. Companies prioritizing digital innovations experience higher financial performance and adaptability in a dynamic market environment. This study underscores the implications of digitization for business process management, providing actionable insights for managers aiming to develop effective strategies for integrating digital and innovative practices. The research contributes to the theoretical understanding of digital transformation and offers practical applications for businesses seeking sustained growth and competitive advantage.

    Dynamics of international tourism in the world economy: sustainability of development under conditions of uncertainty, overcoming global challenges and new trends

    The Covid-19 pandemic posed an unprecedented challenge to the global economy, delivering a severe blow to the international tourism sector. Across the world, including countries in Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East, pandemic-related restrictions, border closures, and quarantine measures led to a sharp decline in tourist flows and significant economic losses. In 2020, global tourism experienced a drop of over 70% compared to previous years, threatening the survival of millions of jobs and businesses dependent on the tourism sector. The aim of this article is to analyze the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war on international tourism at a global level, as well as to examine recovery measures for the tourism industry and new trends that emerged in response to the challenges of the pandemic. The research will help identify key factors that contributed to both the decline and gradual recovery of the tourism sector in different regions of the world. This analysis is important not only for understanding the economic consequences of the pandemic but also for developing new approaches to fostering sustainable and safe tourism in the face of global challenges. Studying these changes will help better prepare for potential future crises and adapt the tourism sector to new realities, ensuring resilience and safety for all industry stakeholders.

    Financial systems and their influence on entrepreneurial development: insights for building sustainable and inclusive ecosystems

    The relationship between financial systems and entrepreneurial development is explored in this paper, specifically how the conditions and characteristics of a country’s financial system affect entrepreneurial opportunities within a space of sustainability and inclusivity. The study is conducted using a mixed methods approach consisting of both a systematic literature review and econometric modeling, coupled with qualitative analysis of a subsample of countries to analyze these dynamics. At a fundamental level, it seeks to analyze the dynamics of financial systems, including the regulatory frameworks, market structures, and access to finance, and their role in forming an entrepreneurial landscape and contributing to the development of sustainable and inclusive ecosystems. The results show strong patterns and challenges in how financial systems support entrepreneurship. Areas of investigation include the role of financial institutions and markets in organizing access to finance (including the impact of regulatory barriers on entrepreneurial activities) and the integration of sustainability principles in policy and practice. This study stresses the need to align financial system policies with the goals of sustainable entrepreneurship so as to facilitate inclusive economic growth. Additionally, the research points out directions for how to make finance more accessible, foster more innovation, and remove the inefficiencies of regulation. For policymakers, investors, and researchers, the insights are designed to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystems through targeted investments as well as simplifying the financial processes. Through proactive actions, stakeholders have the ability to utilize entrepreneurialism as a tool for economic growth, societal progress, and ecological sustainability. The findings of this research contribute to the current ongoing discourse in sustainable entrepreneurship by furthering the stream of debate proposing how financial systems facilitate or inhibit entrepreneurial outcomes.

    International tourism logistics: the role of air and maritime transport in shaping global trends and accessibility

    The article analyzes the complex relationship between air and maritime logistics and the development of international tourism. The author analyzes statistical data, including the volume of global air and sea traffic, the number of passengers, and annual growth rates with forecasts up to 2028. The author reveals the trends of steady growth in air and cruise traffic observed before the COVID-19 pandemic, which coincided with the expansion of global tourism. In 2020, the pandemic led to a sharp decline in both passenger demand and transportation operations, which revealed the vulnerability of both sectors. At the same time, the study demonstrates their ability to recover quickly in 2021–2023, thanks to the easing of travel restrictions, the resumption of tourist activity, and the expansion of cruise and ferry operations. The importance of well-developed logistics and transportation networks to ensure the accessibility of tourist destination is identified. Key airports, as well as strategically located seaports, act as important hubs that facilitate the organization of global passenger flows. At the same time, managing the infrastructure and capacity of these centers is crucial to ensure the growth of transportation and maintain efficient logistics systems in the tourism sector. Further growth in air and sea transportation is predicted. The author emphasizes the need for systematic investment in the development of airport and port infrastructure, the digitalization of processes, and the implementation of sustainable practices to meet the growing needs of passengers and ensure the long-term viability of both sectors. It is summarized that the interdependence of aviation and maritime logistics with international tourism is key to the further development and growth of the global tourism industry. It is proven that efficient logistics systems contribute to increasing the accessibility of tourist destinations, while innovation and infrastructure development ensure the stable long-term development of the industry.

    Risk assessment and risk analysis for production activities under the conditions of martial state

    The article is devoted to the problem of determining the military risks characteristics and the development of mathematical formalization methods to identify at the initial stage signs of an increase in the level of risks. In the research process, the following was applied: a comparative analysis to identify the indirect influence of war risks on other risks; analytical method for identifying features of military risks; methods of mathematical formalization to detect at the initial stage aperiodic fluctuations of time series of risk parameters for timely hazard forecasting. Specific features of military risks are determined. A complex mathematical approach is proposed to identify signs of an increase in the risks level at the initial stage of their formation in order to ensure the flexibility of production activities management, increase the adaptability of the enterprise to threats, and acquire the ability of the enterprise to survive. Mathematical formalization methods are proposed for detecting aperiodic harmonic fluctuations of a time series, as a manifestation of risk, and forecasting production activity in conditions of significant uncertainty of the risks parameters. The proposed mathematical formalization approaches will make it possible to detect signs of an increase in the level of risks at the initial stage of their formation to ensure flexibility in the production activities management.

    Розвиток глобального ринку штучного інтелекту та його вплив на вищу освіту

    Не зважаючи на те, що термін «штучний інтелект» (АІ) фактично був введений у 1956 році Д. Маккарті, у контексті створення машини, здатної міркувати та імітувати людський інтелект, сучасна ера його стрімкого проникнення в усі сфери життєдіяльності починається з появи у 2018 році Chat GPT. Якщо світовий ринок АІ у 2020 році становив 93,27 млрд дол. США, то у 2024 році – 184,05 млрд дол. США. За прогнозами у 2030 році ринок АІ досягне 826,76 млрд дол. США, а у 2032 році перевершить 1 трлн дол. США. McKinsey визначила 2024 рік роком, коли організації стали отримувати цінність, вигоду від використання та масштабування технологій АІ, у т. ч. завдяки зниженню витрат і зростанню дохідності бізнес-процесів. Усе більше організацій (3/4) визнає, що АІ приведе до кардинальних або руйнівних змін у галузі у найближчі роки. При цьому все виваженіше вони стали розуміти ризики, пов’язані з АІ, і найкращі нові практики щодо їх зниження.

    Інноваційний потенціал як чинник зростання та конкурентоспроможності національної економіки: аналіз, оцінка та перспективи розвитку

    У статті розглядається інноваційний потенціал як чинники розвитку національної економіки України. Визначено його виключну роль у забезпеченні економічного зростання та підвищенні конкурентоспроможності, що доведено на основі економіко-математичного моделювання та прогнозування. Акцент зроблено на значенні створення сприятливого середовища для інноваційної діяльності. Наголошується на необхідності ефективної державної політики, що сприятиме розвитку цілісної інноваційної екосистеми. Запропоновано загальні підходи до формування стратегії стимулювання інновацій в контексті повоєнного відновлення України. Значна увага приділена розбудові інноваційного потенціалу. Визначено, що сталий економічний розвиток можливий лише за умови інклюзії інновацій та їх активного впровадження, ефективного використання інвестиційних ресурсів та підтримки високотехнологічних секторів. Представлено концепцію індустріальних парків, як одного з інструментів ефективного економічного повоєнного відновлення.
