Буяновська Л.Ю. Геодемографічний аналіз Одеського регіону в умовах зміни адміністративно-територіального устрою. – Кваліфікаційна наукова праця на правах рукопису.
Дисертація на здобуття наукового ступеня доктора філософії за спеціальністю 106 «Географія» – Одеський національний університет імені І. І. Мечникова – Одеса, 2025.
У роботі розглядаються теоретичні засади суспільно-географічного дослідження геодемографічних процесів, аналізуються адміністративно-територіальний устрій, чинники та передумови формування Одеського регіону, оцінюється геодемографічна ситуація в Одеському регіоні. Особлива увага приділяється просторовому аналізу геодемографічного районування Одеського регіону на засадах нового адміністративно-територіального устрою.
У першому розділі дисертації представлено теоретичні засади суспільно-географічного дослідження геодемографічних процесів. Висвітлено особливості дослідження геодемографічних процесів у світовій практиці. Проаналізовано вплив адміністративно-територіального устрою на формування геодемографічних процесів на регіональному рівні.
Другий розділ роботи присвячено історії заселення Одеського регіону як передумову формування сучасної демографічної ситуації, проаналізовано ретроспективу змін адміністративно-територіального устрою Одеського регіону, вивчено системи розселення та щільність населення, проаналізовані геодемографічні процеси і структурно-вікові деформації населення Одеського регіону.
У третьому розділі проаналізовано динаміку чисельності населення, етно-національний склад населення Одеського регіону, проведено оцінку геодемографічної ситуації в регіоні, висвітлено стан та тенденції геодемографічного розвитку регіону.
Четвертий розділ присвячено просторовому аналізу геодемографічних показників та геодемографічному районуванню Одеського регіону на засадах нового адміністративно-територіального устрою, виявленню взаємозв’язку категорій геодемографічного процесу та геодемографічної ситуації у структурі геодемографічного районування. За результатами дослідження обґрунтовано загальні методологічні і методичні положення геодемографічного районування, проаналізовано часткове геодемографічне районування та проведено комплексне інтегральне геодемографічне районування в Одеському регіоні на новій адміністративно-територіальній основі.
Для вирішення основних завдань дослідження використано загальнонаукові (аналіз, порівняння, історичний підхід) та спеціально-географічні (історико-географічний, порівняльно-географічний, картографічний, районування) методи дослідження.
При виконанні дисертаційного дослідження були використані статистичні дані та матеріали Державної служби статистики України, різні нормативно-правові документи, вітчизняні та міжнародні наукові праці, тощо.
Наукова новизна одержаних результатів
вперше:
здійснено комплексний геодемографічний аналіз та геодемографічне районування Одеського регіону на засадах нового адміністративно-територіального устрою із урахуванням просторових відмінностей геодемографічного процесу та геодемографічної ситуації Одеського регіону;
розроблено методику виділення геодемографічних кластерів, геодемографічних груп та геодемографічних осередків в геодемографічному районуванні регіону, що дозволяє використовувати їх як просторову основу для формування регіональної демографічної політики;
виявлено просторові розбіжності у формуванні геодемографічних кластерів, районів та осередків в межах Одеського регіону, що виникають внаслідок невідповідності між сучасними адміністративними межами районів і фактичними ареалами поширення демографічно однорідних територій;
вдосконалено:
теоретико-методологічні підходи до аналізу геодемографічних процесів та геодемографічної ситуації в умовах адміністративно-територіальних трансформацій;
наукове розуміння впливу адміністративно-територіального устрою на просторову організацію та динаміку геодемографічних процесів регіону;
отримали подальший розвиток:
підходи до аналізу взаємозв’язку між адміністративно-територіальним устроєм та геодемографічними процесами;
підходи до вивчення регіональної та мікрорегіональної геодемографічної ситуації, що базуютсья на врахуванні динаміки чисельності населення, його етно-національної та статево-вікової структури, щільності та структури розселення;
концептуальні засади використання категорій «геодемографічна ситуація», «геодемографічний процес» та «геодемографічне районування» як аналітичного інструментарію для просторової диференціації демографічного розвитку територій.
Теоретичне та практичне значення одержаних результатів
Теоретичне значення одержаних результатів полягає в обґрунтуванні закономірностей трансформації геодемографічних процесів Одеського регіону в умовах зміни адміністративно-територіального устрою. Уточнено понятійно-категоріальний апарат дослідження та поглиблено уявлення про вплив геодемографічних процесів в контексті змін адміністративно-територіального устрою. Розкрито механізми взаємозв’язку між адміністративно-територіальними змінами та динамікою геодемографічної ситуації на регіональному рівні. Отримані положення можуть бути використані для подальшого теоретичного узагальнення геодемографічних процесів в умовах трансформації адміністративно-територіального устрою. Теоретичні та практичні положення роботи знайшли впровадження в наукових звітах кафедри економічної та соціальної географії і туризму Одеського національного університету імені І. І. Мечникова за кафедральною науковою тематикою. Результати дисертаційного дослідження впроваджені в навчальний процес кафедри економічної та соціальної географії і туризму ОНУ імені І.І. Мечникова при викладанні навчальних дисциплін «Основи суспільної географії», «Основи регіоналістики» та «Основи просторового планування».
Результати дослідження можуть бути використані органами державної влади та місцевого самоврядування при формуванні та реалізації демографічної, соціальної та регіональної політики, зокрема в аспектах територіального планування, оптимізації мережі соціальної інфраструктури та управління міграційними процесами; виділені геодемографічні кластери, геодемографічні райони та геодемографічні осередки можуть бути використані як аналітична основа для виявлення регіональних диспропорцій у демографічному розвитку, прогнозування трансформацій у структурі розселення та підвищення ефективності управління демографічним потенціалом територій (громад і регіону загалом); результати дослідження можуть бути використані у процесі вдосконалення адміністративно-територіального устрою, зокрема для обґрунтування меж територіальних громад та адміністративних районів на основі реальних демографічних і просторових відмінностей. Практичне застосування результатів дисертаційного дослідження знайшли своє відображення у діяльності органів державної влади, органів місцевого самоврядування, приватних підприємств в частині просторового планування, розробки регіональних стратегій розбудови і відновлення територій, програм соціально-економічного розвитку, соціального забезпечення, охорони здоров’я, тощо.
Особистий внесок дисертантки
Дисертаційне дослідження виконане авторкою самостійно та містить наукові положення, розроблені особисто здобувачкою. У роботі використані авторські розрахунки, аналітичні узагальнення, а також ілюстративний матеріал у вигляді картограм, схем, графіків і таблиць, створених під час проведення досліджень самостійно. Авторка самостійно виконала збір та обробку статистичних і картографічних матеріалів, узагальнення літературних та інтернет-джерел, визначила концептуальні підходи та сформулювала висновки. Запозичені з різних джерел поняття, положення та заключення подані з відповідними посиланнями на авторів.
Buianovska L.Y. Geodemographic Analysis of the Odesa Region in the Context of Changes in Administrative-territorial structure. Dissertation submitted as a manuscript in fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geography (specialty 106). – Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University, Odesa, 2025. The study examines the theoretical foundations of socio-geographical research on geodemographic processes, analyzes the administrative-territorial structure, key factors, and prerequisites for the formation of the Odesa region, and evaluates its current geodemographic situation. Emphasis is placed on the spatial analysis of geodemographic zoning of the Odesa region under the new administrative and territorial framework. The first chapter of the dissertation presents the theoretical framework of socio-geographical studies of geodemographic processes. It highlights methodological approaches to demographic process studies in global practice and analyzes the impact of the administrative and territorial structure on the formation of geodemogeographical patterns at the regional level. The second chapter examines the history of settlement in the Odesa region as a prerequisite for shaping its modern demographic situation. It provides a retrospective analysis of changes in the administrative and territorial structure of the Odesa region, explores settlement systems and population density, and analyzes geodemographic processes as well as structural and age-related deformations of the population in the Odesa region. The third chapter examines population dynamics and the ethnonational composition of the Odesa region's population providing an assessment of its current geodemographic situation. It outlines key trends and the present state of the region’s geodemographic development. The fourth chapter focuses on the spatial analysis of geodemographic indicators and the geodemographic zoning of the Odesa region under its new administrative-territorial structure. It investigates the relationship between geodemographic processes and regional conditions within the zoning framework. The chapter substantiates methodological principles for geodemographic zoning and analyzes partial zoning schemes. Finally, it presents a comprehensive, integrated geodemographic zoning of the Odesa region based on the updated administrative-territorial divisions. To address the main research objectives, general scientific methods (analysis, comparison, historical approach) and specific geographical methods (historical-geographical, comparative-geographical, cartographic, zoning) were employed. In conducting this dissertation research, statistical data and materials from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine were used, along with various regulatory and legal documents, domestic and international scientific works, etc. Scientific Novelty of the Obtained Results. For the first time: - a comprehensive geodemographic analysis and geodemographic regionalization of the Odesa region have been conducted based on the new administrative-territorial structure, taking into account the spatial differences in the geodemographic process and the geodemographic situation of the Odesa region. - a methodology has been developed for identifying geodemographic clusters, geodemographic groups, and geodemographic centers within the geodemographic regionalization of the region, allowing their use as a spatial basis for the formation of regional demographic policy. - spatial discrepancies in the formation of geodemographic clusters, districts, and centers within the Odesa region have been identified, arising from the mismatch between the current administrative boundaries of districts and the actual areas of distribution of demographically homogeneous territories. Improved: - Theoretical and methodological approaches to the analysis of geodemographic processes and the geodemographic situation in the context of administrative-territorial transformations. - The scientific understanding of the influence of the administrative-territorial structure on the spatial organization and dynamics of geodemographic processes in the region. Further Developed: - Approaches to the analysis of the relationship between the administrative-territorial structure and geodemographic processes. - Approaches to the study of the regional and micro-regional geodemographic situation, based on taking into account the dynamics of population size, its ethno-national and age-sex structure, density, and settlement structure. - Conceptual foundations for the use of the categories "geodemographic situation," "geodemographic process," and "geodemographic regionalization" as analytical tools for the spatial differentiation of the demographic development of territories. Theoretical and Practical Significance of the Obtained Results The theoretical significance of the obtained results lies in substantiating the patterns of transformation of geodemographic processes in the Odesa region under conditions of changes in the administrative-territorial structure. The conceptual and categorical apparatus of the research has been refined, and the understanding of the influence of geodemographic processes in the context of changes in the administrative-territorial structure has been deepened. The mechanisms of the relationship between administrative-territorial changes and the dynamics of the geodemographic situation at the regional level have been revealed. The obtained propositions can be used for further theoretical generalization of geodemographic processes in the context of the transformation of the administrative-territorial structure. The theoretical and practical propositions of the work have been implemented in the scientific reports of the Department of Economic and Social Geography and Tourism of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University under the departmental scientific topic. The results of the dissertation research have been implemented in the educational process of the Department of Economic and Social Geography and Tourism of ONU named after I.I. Mechnikov in the teaching of the academic disciplines "Fundamentals of Social Geography," "Fundamentals of Regional Studies," and "Fundamentals of Spatial Planning. The research results can be utilized by bodies of state power and local self-government in the formation and implementation of demographic, social, and regional policies, particularly in aspects of territorial planning, optimization of the social infrastructure network, and management of migration processes. The identified geodemographic clusters, geodemographic districts, and geodemographic centers can serve as an analytical basis for identifying regional disparities in demographic development, forecasting transformations in the settlement structure, and enhancing the efficiency of managing the demographic potential of territories (communities and the region as a whole). The research findings can be applied in the process of improving the administrative-territorial structure, specifically for substantiating the boundaries of territorial communities and administrative districts based on real demographic and spatial differences. The practical application of the dissertation research results has been reflected in the activities of state authorities, local self-government bodies, and private enterprises in the areas of spatial planning, the development of regional strategies for the development and recovery of territories, socio-economic development programs, social security, healthcare, and other areas. Personal Contribution of the Dissertation Author This dissertation research was conducted independently by the author and contains scientific propositions developed personally by the candidate. The work utilizes the author's calculations, analytical generalizations, and illustrative material in the form of cartograms, diagrams, graphs, and tables, created independently during the research process. The author independently carried out the collection and processing of statistical and cartographic materials, the synthesis of literary and internet sources, determined the conceptual approaches, and formulated the conclusions. Concepts, propositions, and conclusions borrowed from various sources are presented with appropriate references to the authors.
