The article presents the results of the analysis of the problem of the cognitive-affective nature of intuition and the determination of the psychological features of these components. Considered studies of the problem of intuition by psychologists (C.G. Jung, D. Kahneman, K. Lewin, D. Myers, C. Rogers, M. Csikszentmighai), neurobiologists (A. Damasio, D. Eagleman, M. Lieberman), specialists in artificial intelligence ( Y. Bengio, X. Glorot) reveal the mechanisms of intuitive cognition, which opens up new opportunities for its application in various fields of human activity. The interaction of cognitive and affective components in the formation and development of intuition is studied by modern scientists (J. Otto, P. Greenway; V. Sönmez) and show that the effectiveness of intuitive decisions is determined by a person’s experience and emotional state. Manifestations of the cognitive-affective nature of intuition are the intuitive decisions of experts, which are characterized by spontaneity, cognitive processing and effective emotional management, which allows them to act quickly and accurately in critical situations. The purpose of this article is to analyze modern psychological ideas about the cognitive-affective nature of intuition. The cognitive-affective nature of intuition is used in professional fields: in business, intuitive decision-making allows managers to respond to changes in an unstable market; in medicine, understanding intuitive processes improves diagnosis and treatment of patients when quick decision-making is required; in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, understanding intuitive processes can lead to the creation of more modern and adaptive systems. The conclusions are that the analyzed studies of neurobiologists, psychologists, economists, experts in artificial intelligence are related to studies of the cognitive-affective nature of intuition. It is shown that this direction is important for the development of modern psychological theory and practice; promotes a deeper understanding of mental processes, emotions and behavior. These studies help integrate different aspects of cognitive and affective psychology, improve clinical and educational methods, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
