Chlamydophila psittaci is a bacteria with virol properties, functioning as an intracellular parasite. It spreads via airborne droplet infection through respiratory organs. The disease begins with flu-like symptoms and quickly progresses to life-threatening pneumonia. It grows only on primary continuous epithelial, diploid cell culture or on 7-day chicken embryos. Chlamydophila psittaci has a spherical form and Gram-negative, staining with Macchiavello, Romanovsky-Giemsa, and Stamp methods. Chalamydia exists in two stages: infectious partricles of elementary bodies that are round coccoid form with a size 200-350 nanometers (nm), and reticular bodies that are intracytoplasmic, reproductive forms of 500-600 nm.en
