dc.description.abstractThe practical relevance of the chosen topic is that China is currently one of the most influential actors in the international arena. The study of China's foreign policy allows us to identify trends that China may follow in the international arena. The study of Hu Jintao's and Xi Jinping's foreign policy, their comparison and identification of differences and main features of foreign policy inherent to the two leaders, allows us to see what transformations China has undergone from the beginning of the XXI century to the present day and to study in more detail the impact of such changes on China's steps in the international arena and in relations with neighboring countries. The study of such transformations on the example of relations with India allows us to consider one of the most important cases of the process of dispute resolution between China and other countries, to explore one of the models of dispute resolution of this type by China and to identify the characteristics of the process of dispute resolution by the Chinese side. Since the conflict over the border between China and India is still unresolved and the Line of Actual Control is constantly in a state of turbulence, studying and monitoring the state of this conflict and the Chinese side's policy of its settlement is very important and relevant for further study of China's foreign policy as one of the important actors in general. The scientific relevance of the chosen topic lies in the fact that the Ukrainian academic community has not studied this topic deeply enough, and this topic requires further in-depth study and rethinking of existing scientific works, taking into account the current context and the system of international relations that is actively transforming.
