Анотація
The urgent environmental issues facing the world today, such as climate change, pollution, and loss of biodiversity. According to the latest satellite PM2.5 data, the global population weighted average PM2.5 level slightly increased from 28 micrograms per cubic meter to 28.2 micrograms per cubic meter between 2020 and 2021, which is more than five times the World Health Organization's (WHO) guidance of 5 micrograms per cubic meter. According to the 2023 Global Air Quality Report survey, the ranking of countries and regions with the most severe pollution based on annual average PM2.5 concentration (μ g/m³) China ranks 19th among the countries and regions with the most severe pollution in the world. The Chinese government, led by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment Protection, has formulated multiple measures, covering not only air pollution, but also water pollution, soil pollution, and waste management.
