Анотація
The species composition of malaria mosquitoes in the biotopes of the central part of Odesa Region (Odesa and Berezivka districts) was assessed using morphological identification combined with ITS2-based molecular analysis. The study revealed considerable diversity within the Anopheles maculipennis s. l. complex and confirms the relevance of molecular identification approaches for improving the accuracy of entomological surveillance and malaria risk assessment in regions with cryptic species complexes.
