Blood-sucking mosquitoes of the Culicidae family are one of the numerous and ecologically plastic groups of living organisms. During their evolutionary development, they were able to adapt to highly variable abiotic conditions in their habitats, thanks to which they spread throughout the world1. Due to physiological hematophagy, blood-sucking mosquitoes have vector competence for many pathogens (arboviruses, protists, helminths, etc.), due to which they pose a significant threat to public health. In recent decades, the world has faced an urgent problem of the emergence of known outbreaks and the emergence of new infectious and parasitic diseases, the vectors of which are blood-sucking mosquitoes. The processes of globalization and climate change create new ecological spaces, the conditions of which fit into a wide range of ecological plasticity of some tropical mosquito species. This complex of transformational processes leads to the appearance of vectors exotic for certain territories, and with them dangerous diseases for which there is currently no specific treatment.
