Анотація
To address practical social and economic problems related to the environment, meteorological and climatological information is used to the fullest extent possible. Assessments of the impacts of climate variability and climate change on human activities are currently among the key factors influencing local, national, and global economic development, social programs, and resource management. Climate services are oriented toward a wide range of users from governmental, commercial, and industrial sectors.
In response to the growing demand, specific fields of climatological research have developed within the practice of meteorological and climate information services. These fields are based on data describing the state of all components of the climate system. The sources of this information are various meteorological observation systems, each of which has its own objectives, areas of application, and methodologies for measuring meteorological variables.
