    The beginning of the XXI century became a qualitatively new stage in the development of Ukrainian culture. In less than two decades invested pivotal changes in the spiritual search of motion vectors. At the the beginning of the 2 000-th we can see the entirely Russified artistic elite of the city, but in 2014 we see the emergence and dartingly developing fashion for all Ukrainian, including for Ukrainian literature. Odessa along with Kyiv and Lviv becomes without exaggeration one of the leading cultural centers of the country. These performances come from Yuri Andrukhovych („Albert, or the highest form of execution”), S. Zhadan („Marks”); there are literary meetings and poetry readings with O. Zabuzhko, Izdryk Yu, T. Prokhasko, I. Rozdobudko,, Andrukhovich S, K. Babkina and many other writers. In October 2015 for the first time hosts an international literary festival, based on the fact that the festival was successfully held in August 2016,1 think we can talk about the traditionality of the event. Do not skip the attention of the city as Ukrainian and foreign artists. Telling fact is that the today's most popular music band „Okean Elzy” is not only at least once every six months serving in Odessa, but here was a concert on the occasion of Independence Day of Ukraine. In Odessa held art exhibitions, the most high-profile of which was the exhibition of Ivan Marchuk „Genotype Liberty”, the figures speak for themselves: more than a thousand visitors on only opening day. In the literary arena productive work writers of the sixties (Valentyn Moroz Olexa Riznichenko Dmitry Shupta Vitaly Berezinskyy, Rutkivsky V. et al.) And declares himself a whole cohort of young artists (G. Kostenko, S. Osoka, A. Hayetskyy, D. Zhuravel et al.). Odessa National University named after II Mechnikov traditionally concentrates in his space of writers of different generations: older (V. Poltavchuk S. Dmitriev, M. Shcherban et al.) And junior (D. Zhuravel, S. Besmezhniy, R. Usenko, A. Tarasenko, M. Zaburanna). In Odessa especially acute is problem of Russian-speaking Ukrainian writers. It's necessary to mention the name of Boris Khersonskiy whose work is known far beyond Ukraine. Auditing the literary life of Odessa it is impossible not to recall the Russian-speaking writers whose work was dedicated to researching the history of the native city, the depiction of the historic sites, we are talking primarily about Y. Golubovsky, Y. Demenokl, M. Zhvanetskiy. This year was published the „Guide to Odessa” of Oleksandr Babych in which almost for the first time alongside the traditional (Soviet centrict, Russified) is the image of Odessa with many national positions.
