Анотація
One of the topical questions of present-day linguistics is the study of the concepts formed in the conscience of a native speaker and the ways of their reflection in language and speech. Our work is an attempt to make contribution into such studies, it deals with the analysis of peculiarities of use of the Present Indefinite,the Present Continuous, the Present Perfect and the Present Perfect Continuous Tenses in Modern English. The results of this analysis made possible to establish the essential communicative characteristics of the above-mentioned grammatical forms.
