Management in manufacturing companies seeks to increase operational efficiency and profits while minimising costs. To achieve this, managers use various management approaches. The main ones include functional, process, system, situational and dynamic approaches. Manufacturing companies operate in an area where each firm has its own unique characteristics related to production processes, resources and market conditions. Because of these specificities, it may be inefficient or even impossible to directly copy the management solutions of other companies. Instead, management professionals strive to adapt existing methods and develop new approaches that take into account the specific industrial production of a particular company. This includes the analysis and optimisation of production processes, resource management, labour organisation and product quality management. Recently, there has been a growing interest in hybrid management approaches that combine best practices from different industries and take into account the diversity of factors affecting manufacturing operations. Such hybrid approaches can provide companies with greater flexibility and help them achieve optimal results in a variable and competitive environment.
