Use of antiphage media for starter propagation reduce risk of phage infection. Porphyrins and their derivatives showed good effect as inhibitors of viral infection in vitro. Taking into consideration a significant role of cytokines in inflammation, the aim of the current study was to evaluate the effect of Staphylococcus aureus bacteriophage in vivo è in vitro on TNF-á, IFN-ã and IL-10 production.
