Among the 7 studied carriers of different origins, activated carbon, peat and a synthetic carrier of the «VIIA» type had sorption activity against phenol. Immobilization of Вasillus subtilis 13 bacteria on sorbent carriers led to increased efficiency and acceleration of the process of water purification from phenol, while desorption of the pollutant did not occur.
