    Antiproliferative activity of marine lactic acid bacteria with biotechnological potential

    Culture liquids of marine lactobacteria containing organic acids and CFS of Enterococcus italicus ONU 547 with bacteriocins were obtained. The antiproliferative activity of the metabolic products of lactobacteria isolated from the Black Sea was shown and it was found that all of the studied strains, both from water and mussels, inhibited the growth of human laryngeal adenocarcinoma Hep-2 cells in 25-65%.

    Actinomycetes are the most powerful source for the production of secondary metabolites, antibiotics and other bioactive compounds. Analysis of the literature showed that marine actinomycetes have a significant effect on the proliferative activity of tumor cells and can be potential sources of new anticancer drugs.
