Документ INTRODUCTION OF THE GEPIC MODEL TO OPTIMIZE LAND-USE IN ODESSA REGION(Печатний дом, 2011) Lebediev, D. G.; Korzun, T. V.; Gazyetov, Ye. I.; Medinets, V. I.At present, under conditions of climate changes and such anthropogenic factors as irrigation and application of fertilizers to soil, modelling of spatial and temporal dynamics of the main processes in the system soil-plants-atmosphere-agriculture acquires essential importance in order to forecast socioeconomic development of the country and efficient use natural resources, in particular - land.Документ Introduction of the GEPIC model to optimize land-use in Odessa region(2011-06) Lebediev, D. G.; Korzun, T. V.; Gazyetov, Yevgen I.; Medinets, Volodymyr I.; Мединец, Владимир Иванович; Медінець, Володимир ІвановичUsed to forecast crop yields and other land-use parameters for Odessa Region GEPIC model (GISbased Environmental Policy Integrated Climate) is an adapted for GIS variant of biophysical model EPIC (Environmental Policy Integrated Climate). The GEPIC model was elaborated in 2004–2005 by Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG). In the framework of the project “Water Scarcity – Its Measurement and Implications for Virtual Water Import”. As input data we prepared sets of rasters of spatial resolution 30х30, 15х15 and 5х5 minutes, as well as text files with soil and climatic characteristics.Документ LANDSAT 7 images use for assessment of fire traces areas.(Odesa: Pechatniy dom, 2013, 2013-05) Pavlik, Tetiana V.; Medinets, Volodymyr I.; Lebediev, D. G.Aim of the paper is to generalize the experience of free LANDSAT 7 space images use to determine squares and boundaries of the Dnister Delta areas (within the Lower Dnister National Nature Park (LDNNP)) affected by fires in winter-spring period of 2011-2012.Документ Simulation of irrigation effects on winter wheat yields.(Odesa: Pechatniy dom, 2013, 2013-05) Lebediev, D. G.; Gazyetov, Yevgen I.; Medinets, Volodymyr I.; Pavlik, Tetiana V.Aim of the work was to study of effects of irrigation and amount of fertilizers applied on winter wheat yields for Odessa Region using the GEPIC (GIS-based Environmental Policy Integrated Climate) Model elaborated by Swiss Federal Institute of Water Sciences and Technologies (EAWAG).Документ USE OF GIS TO QUANTIFY THE LONG-TERM CHANGES IN NATURAL OBJECTS(Печатний дом, 2011) Korzun, T. V.; Lebediev, D. G.; Medinets, V. I.; Gazyetov, Ye. I.In order to take strategic managerial decisions long-term hydromorphological changes of boundaries and sizes of natural protected areas, such as nature reserves, national parks or game reserves should be traced. The most efficient method for quantitative assessment of parameters of long-term changes in spatial natural objects is the use of GIS and space imagery (Medinets, 2010).Документ Use of GIS to Quantify the Long-Term Changes in Natural Objects(Odessa: Pechatnyi Dom, 2011, 2011-06) Korzun, T. V.; Lebediev, D. G.; Medinets, Volodymyr I.; Gazyetov, Yevgen I.; Медінець, Володимир Іванович; Мединец, Владимир ИвановичIn order to take strategic managerial decisions long-term hydromorphological changes of boundaries and sizes of natural protected areas, such as nature reserves, national parks or game reserves should be traced. The most efficient method for quantitative assessment of parameters of long-term changes in spatial natural objects is the use of GIS and space imagery (Medinets, 2010). In 2010 we tried for the deltaic part of the Dnister River, the major part of which in 2008 had been converted into the Lower Dnister National Park, the method of assessment and calculation of the long-term changes of boundaries and areas of the reed-bed zone for a long period (about 100 years). At that a combination of office analysis of historical maps, satellite images and real surveys was used. As the primary material for the office analysis historical topographic map (1895), digital map of the Lower Dnister basin (1984), Quick Bird satellite images of March and July 2007 were used, as well as the results of field survey of 2010.
