This article is devoted to the analysis of China`s military strategy. China`s military strategy is the ninth White Paper, adopted by PRC on May 26, 2015. China adopts White papers every 2 years and they are concerned with different spheres of life. The goal was to determine the influence of the ninth White Paper of PRC, titled “China`s military strategy” on the system of relationships in Asia-Pacific region. According to Military Strategy all countries, which object to "ninedotted line" in the South China Sea Taiwan, Japan and South Korea are main threats for Chinese security. The USA was considered to be the main geopolitical competitor. Main aims, stated in this document are: to maximize the potential of the People`s Liberation Army; to strengthen Chinese positions in four spheres: the seas and oceans, outer space, cyberspace and the nuclear force; to prevent the USA from “rebalancing” power in Asia- Pacific region. China demonstrated the high level of responsibility and coherence in the realization of this document. Defence budget of the PRC has grown more than on 40 billion dollars during the 2015-2016 years. Because of this fact the Chinese military power has enhanced greatly during this period. If China continued to expand its military capabilities at this pace, its activity would change the balance of power in Asia-Pacific region. China has objected to the USA`s “rebalancing” strategy in the region and enhancing of Chinese military power may fuel the clash between these two states. In conclusion, such development affects the situation in Asia-Pacific region and could destroy the existing balance of power there.
