Характеризується роль вищезгаданої родини у галузі лісівництва, садівництва, рільництва та скотарства. Запропонована оцінка внеску Скаржинських у вирішення складних проблем пов’язаних із розвитком господарювання у Південному регіоні.The article is devoted to the noble family of Skarzhyns’kiyis, their contribution into economic development of Southern Ukraine at the end of the XVIIIth – in the fist half of the XIXth centuries. Main attention is paid to practical activities of the Skarzhynskys in the field of agriculture and light industry during the pre-reform period. The role of the above mentioned family in the sphere of forestry, gardening, arable land farming and cattle breeding is investigated as well.
