(1921 – 1987) 20 – 22 April 2021, Sofi ahttps://dspace.onu.edu.ua/handle/123456789/31175Как известно, в фундаментальной грамматике немецкого языка Якова Гримма «Deutsche Grammatik» (1819–1837 гг.), которая заложила основы для развития научных представлений о сущности и функциях артиклей, сделана первая попытка дать научное объяснение понятиям определённости и неопределённости как основной категории, выражаемой артиклями. Решение вопроса о сущности категории определенности / неопределенности выступает как одна из важнейших теоретических предпосылок исследования артиклевой системы. Формирование и развитие категорий артикля происходит в разных языках мира типологически схожим образом, подчиняясь общелогическим и общеязыковым закономерностям. Однако выбор и развитие конкретных артиклевых форм в национальном языке происходит по-разному, определяется спецификой и особенностями функционирования этого языка. В каждом языке существует не одна, а несколько грамматических категорий, из которых могут потенциально развиться протоартикли, которые затем превращаются в артикли, в одну единственную или несколько артиклевых форм.The existing ideas of grammarians about the role of the article categories in the sphere of proper names are analyzed in this paper. Such an analysis involuntarily leads to a paradoxical conclusion: many authors of scientifi c works are often misleading, misinforming about one or another aspect of linguistic reality. At the same time, the study of other components of the language, perhaps no less signifi cant, is ignored and pushed aside. A functional consideration of an article is an analysis of its meaning, and not only an analysis of its structure or the presence of phonetic variants. This approach to linguistic reality manifests itself especially clearly when considering the functioning of the article in the onomastic sphere. The semantic content of the article, like any other word in the language, is complex and multi-component. The article category, which is present in a number of natural languages of the world, has become isolated as a specifi c part of speech (e.g. free-standing prepositive articles). If in lexicological terms the article is a lexeme, then in semasiological terms it is a semanteme. Each word of the language, including the article, is a special word.
