Hurricanes pose a serious threat to shipping in the North Atlantic, and their impact can be reduced through the development of early warning systems and adjustments to ship routes. Sometimes ships are forced to avoid the hurricane zone, which leads to changes in routes, increased time and fuel consumption, and affects the logistics and economics of maritime transport.englobal warminghurricane activityNorth Atlantic OceanThe impact of global warming on hurricane activity in the North Atlantic OceanArticle
