В работе анализируются типы и способы представления кинесического аспекта: жесты, поза, контакт глазами.The article deals with the study of verbal and non-verbal communication based on works by Allan Pease. The final aim of the work is to define types and interaction between verbal and non-verbal means of communication in “Body Language” and “Signals” by A. Pease. The polycode character of the given texts determines abundance of pictographic means – figures, schemes and tables. They only visualize the verbal information concerning description of a certain gesture or posture, the rest of the information – aim of the gesture, its function, examples of its usage in real life and practical advice – is presented with the help of verbal means of communication. The most recurrent stylistic devices have been singled out. They are employed by the author to grab the reader’s attention.
