Розглядаються підходи до концептуалізації поняття через визначення його результатів і процесуальні характеристики. Відмічені тенденції ототожнення понять як «новація» та «інновація», «інновація» та «політичне реформування», неточність критеріїв класифікації видів та типів власне політичних інновацій, невиправдане звуження кола його суб’єктів. Представлений авторський погляд щодо можливих шляхів подолання даних методологічних ускладнень. The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of scientific discourse about the concept of innovation in the post-Soviet political and, in particular, russian and domestic political science. Actuality of this research conditioned in transition of mankind due to innovation and information stage of development, the growing role and importance of innovation as in certain societies and in the global environment. The purpose of this work is to explore the development of scientific understanding of the phenomenon of political innovations in foreign and domestic social sciences and determine the specificity of political innovations.
