У ньому розглядається алгоритм поширення новин серед громадян, а також важливість дотримання професійних стандартів та етичних норм. У статті підкреслюється необхідність масмедіа підвищувати медіаграмотність, адаптуватися до нових форматів оповіді, підтримувати довіру в просторі, насиченому інформацією та дезінформацією. Результати дослідження сприяють розумінню того, як українська та європейська журналістика може зберегти свою місію, одночасно приймаючи нові стандарти в новій реальності.This research explores the evolving role of journalists during the Ukraine’s War of Independence (Liberation War), focusing on the challenges brought by mass murders or injury of children (psychological and physical) by the russian army and changing audience behavior. It examines the algorithm for distributing news to citizen, and the importance of adhering to professional standards, ethics norm. The massive attack on Ukrainian cities, killings, and population displacement created a situation for media representatives to act — to provide evidence about the total crimes of the Russians against humanity, in particular about violations of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The study mentions that the main role of chroniclers of the war events was assigned to domestic, mostly regional journalists who were in close proximity to children who had been affected by or continued to suffer from illegal actions of Russia. This article emphasizes the role of the journalist in transforming of the dry statistics of the war into a problem extending beyond the country’s borders (by involving experts and opinion leaders who responded to the “voices” of children. Anyone must understand that one of the most vulnerable groups of the population was children — who had fallen under the occupiers’ target. The article highlights the necessity for journalists to find new formats of storytelling, enhance media literacy, and also maintain trust in an area saturated with information and disinformation.
