Studies of the bottom communities of the region were actively conducted in the early years of the desalination of Sasyk. Information on the current state of the bottom fauna is extremely scarce and is limited only to general data. This work was carried out in terms of scientific topics of the Department of Hydrobiology and General Ecology of the Odessa I. Mechnikov National University in order to comprehensively study the invertebrate macrobenthos of the upper reaches of the Sasyk. The material for the studies were samples of macrozoobenthos collected in 2013-2015. at 12 stations. In the selection of stations, the exit areas of the Kogilnik and Sarata rivers, as well as zones of active anthropogenic influence (Borisovka village, Trapovka village) were taken into account.Одним из важнейших элементов биотической компоненты водных экосистем, в т. ч. и Сасыка, является его донное население, в частности макрозообентос. Исследования донных сообществ региона активно велись в первые годы опреснения Сасыка. Сведения о современном состоянии донной фауны крайне скудны и ограничиваются лишь данными общего характера. Настоящая работа выполнена в плане научной тематики кафедры гидробиологии и общей экологии Одесского национального университета имени И. И. Мечникова с целью комплексного изучения беспозвоночных макробентоса верховья Сасыка. Материалом для исследований послужили пробы макрозообентоса, собранные в 2013-2015 гг. на 12 станциях. В выборе станций учитывались районы выхода рек Когильник и Сарата, а также зоны активного антропогенного влияния (с. Борисовка, с.
