Changes in the meteorological regime of Antarctica are not only a local phenomenon, but also an important indicator of global climate transformations. Modern research shows that atmospheric processes over Antarctica are closely related to climate changes in other regions of the world through a system of teleconnections, such as, for example, El Niño – Southern Oscillation. It is these mechanisms that determine the occurrence of extreme weather conditions that directly affect agricultural production: droughts, floods, seasonal shifts and temperature anomalies.enAntarcticaglobal climate transformationsclimate changesmeteorological regime of Antarcticathermal regime of AntarcticaAntarctica as an indicator of global climate changeArticle
