A marked increase in the content of total cholesterol in the blood, triglycerides, cholesterol of low density lipoprotein, and a decrease in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol. In patients with angina pectoris, the most pronounced increase in the content of triglycerides. In patients with myocardial infarction, more substantial increases in the content of triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol are noted.
