dc.description.abstractOur work deals with one of the problems of a new trend in modern anglistics, medialinguistics, this branch of the English philology studies peculiarities of the functioning of the English language in the sphere of mass communication. In the most general sense medialinguistics can be defined as “the word in mass media”. Rapid development of mass media in the second half of the twentieth century, intensive growth of traditional mass media – press, radio, television, appearance of new computer technologies, globalization of the world information space influenced the process of generation and spread of the “word”.uk_UA
