dc.description.abstractA procedure has been developed for the adsorption–photometric determination of cationic surfactants in natural water. The procedure is based on the adsorption preconcentration of the cationic surfactants on silica gel, the reaction of the concentrate with the anionic reagent bromothymol blue to form ion pairs on a solid surface, and the photometric determination of excess bromothymol blue in solution.uk
