dc.description.abstractIn the current context of transformations taking place in the economy and financial system of Ukraine, the issue of formulating and implementing fiscal policy is of particular relevance, as its effective functioning depends on the creation of favourable conditions for economic growth, formation and distribution of financial resources and services, accumulation of investment capital, as well as growth of other macroeconomic, fiscal and monetary indicators. Given the difficult realities of today, namely rising inflation, an increase in the state budget deficit, the war with Russia, the COVID-19 pandemic, excessive growth of the money supply, and a decrease in the gold and foreign exchange reserves, the effective use of fiscal and monetary levers of economic development is of particular relevance. The study of existing and the search for new effective levers and forms of implementing fiscal and monetary policy, as well as changes in the basic conditions for the functioning of the national economy of Ukraine, are becoming a challenge for improving the efficiency of fiscal and monetary regulation.
