Complex investigations of plant microbiota representatives

Phytopathogenic bacteria - crown gall agents - were isolated from grape plants. Antagonistic bacteria - also plant dwellers - were used to struggle these pathogens. Lactobacillus plantarum effectively inhibited crown gall agents and survived in soil at least for 45 days. Lactobacilli could interfere pathogenesis of the disease on a step of pathogen attachment. Together with Bacillus megaterium, lactobacilli showed stimulation effect on plant growth.

L. plantarum ONU 12 and L. plantarum ONU 311 positively effected on morphological characteristics of wheat seedlings germinated from seeds in a gel Aquasave S. Treatments of seeds with 1% of overnight cultures of these strains increased mean lengths of roots of seedlings in 72,2 - 75,0% and mean heights of the plants in 44-48,8%.
