dc.description.abstractУ статті розглянуто лексеми p zestzeń і miejsce, а також з’ясовано їх роль у формуванні семантики польських фразеологічних одиниць. Показово, що книжна лексема p zestzeń, за деякими винятками, майже не входить до складу фразеологічних одиниць. Репрезентантом цього ключового поняття існування речей та явищ у фразеології є лексема miejsce. Ця особливість зумовлена побутовим потрактуванням простору через локальні характеристики предмета, що згодом відбилося також на певних соціальних та ментальних процесах і явищах. З п’ятдесяти проаналізованих польських фразеологічних одиниць з компонентом miejsce найбільша кількість ілюструє його значення „частина якогось простору”, при цьому у значній кількості одиниць воно безпосередньо реалізоване. Семантика аналізованих фразеологізмів здебільшого стосується окремої ділянки простору, пов’язана з уступанням чи заміщенням, з узагальненим позначенням певного положення чи посади, а також з відповідністю чи невідповідністю поведінки, посади, події тощо.uk
dc.description.abstractThe object of our investigation is the Polish phraseology; the subject is Polish phraseological units with the components 'space' and 'place'. The purpose is to determine the meaning of the two lexemes as being the key ones to indicate the existence of things and phenomena in Polish phraseological units. Methodology. To reach the goal the descriptive method, the method of component analysis is used in this article. Finding. The lexeme 'space' is practically not used in the Polish phraseological units. The lexeme 'place' has been registered in 50 idioms. It reflexes an ordinary perception of space as some definite place for objects and events. The meaning of the lexeme 'space' correlates with the meaning of its phraseological units. In a great number of idioms the following lexical meanings have been realised: 'part of a certain space, where something is situated or happens', 'limited space for one person only', 'location, position or role of someone or something in a group of similar people, things or phenomena'. Practical value. The results of the research can be used in lecturing course on Polish phraseology and in compiling a phraseological dictionary. Results. The semantic classification of the phraseological units points out to the fact that the most numerous among them are the groups that indicate separate plots of space; substitution; generalised indication of a certain status or position; conformity – nonconformity to one's behaviour, post, an event etc. The results of the investigation show the correlation between the phraseological meaning and the lexical meaning of the word 'place'.
