Раскрывается содержание традиционных видов библиографической деятельности, но в инновационном спектре. Указаны основные направления работы и описаны фактические результаты и перспективы развития библиографической работы университетской библиотеки.
dc.description.abstractThe article is devoted to the activities of the Information and Bibliographic Department of the Scientific Library of Odessa I. I. Mechnikov National University. While presenting the material, the following goals were pursued: to reveal the content of the types of bibliographic activities of the Scientific Library of the I. I. Mechnikov ONU, as well as to present innovative solutions to traditional problems of bibliography. Based on factual material, the article showsthe main areas of work of the Information and Bibliographic Department: scientific and editorial activities, information and bibliographic services, bibliographic and media marketing. Each direction is given a characteristic, tasks are outlined, and specific results of work in a certain aspect are described. A significant part is occupied by the service, which is individually oriented and becomes more demanded due to distant forms. Modern service, as well as the generation of effective solutions, production of innovative ideas and approaches to accomplishing tasks is impossible without organization of marketing, in this case, the bibliographic marketing. The research is aimed at studying the demand, searching for the relevant information, familiarizing yourself with the experience of leading domestic and foreign libraries. The results of monitoring the web content and a meaningful analysis of information resources are presented in the databases of our own generation on the Scientific Library site. The employees of the information and bibliographic department provide information support for research activities and the educational process of the university. Scientific activity is carried out in such areas as research on the history of the university, in particular the Scientific Library; development of Ukrainian biography; information disclosure of the funds; development of the local history subjects. Research results are reflected in publications of various types: from articles in scientific journals to monographs. The editorial activity of bibliographers has expanded its functions: the implementation of a full range of editorial and publishing preparation of periodicals of the Scientific Library; constant monitoring of the appearance and studying of existing regulatory and legislative documents on publishing; quality control of editorial and technical training of library publications. Bibliographic activity remains as indispensable traditional form of work of a modern university library, acquiring new forms and using innovative methods.
