Анотація
У статті розглянуто діяльність вузівської бібліотеки в аспекті її впливу на підвищення показників світового рейтингу Webometrics та проаналізовано потенціал сайту бібліотеки як активного учасника процесу представлення університету в світовому науковому просторі.
В статье рассмотрено деятельность вузовской библиотеки в аспекте ее влияния на повышение показателей мирового рейтинга Webometrics и проанализировано потенциал сайта библиотеки как активного участника процесса представления университета в мировом научном пространстве.
The subject of the study of this article is the representation of the Scientific Library’s activity on its website, which is a sub-domain of the university site. The purpose of publication is the research and description of the potential facilities of the University Library in improving of university indicators in the world rating Webometrics. In the theoretical study by means of analysis and synthesis was found that ranking Webometrics, which evaluate the degree of university web presence in the world Internet space, analyze the university as a complete web domain with all its sub-domains. Generally, sites of the university libraries are sub-domains of the university websites. consider to Webometrics in the calculation of the university indicators. Libraries have great potential for a high level of informational saturation of their websites — this is a digitization of stocks, online presentation of the results of its own research and publishing activity, creation of various databases, virtual exhibitions, implementation of institutional repositories etc. Described experience may be used by other university libraries. And it forms a practical value of the study. As a result the analysis of Scientific Library of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University activity introduces itself as an active participant of representation of the University in the global informational space.
