Анотація
Предметом цієї статті є критичний аналіз історії та історіографії Одеського державного університету імені І. І. Мечникова — попередника сучасного Одеського національного університету імені І. І. Мечникова, — що відбитий у рецензіях одеських авторів, істориків С. Борового, В. Галяса та правозахисника, літератора, дисидента В. Барладяну на три ювілейних видання 1968, 1991 і 2000 років.
Предметом этой статьи является критический анализ истории и историографии Одесского государственного университета имени И. И. Мечникова — предшественника современного Одесского национального университета имени И. И. Мечникова, — который выражен в рецензиях одесских авторов, историков С. Борового, В. Галяса и правозащитника, литератора, диссидента В. Барладяну на три юбилейных издания — 1968, 1991 и 2000 годов.
The subject of this work is the critical analysis of the history and historiography of Odesa I. I. Mechnikov State University — the predecessor of modern Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University, — which is expressed in the reviews of Odessa’s authors in the second half of the XX century — such historians as S. Borovoy, V. Galyas and the human rights activist, the writer, the dissident V. Barladyanu — in three anniversary editions of 1968, 1991 and 2000 years. The purpose of the work is to introduce the little-known texts into historiographic circulation, to analyze their merits and demerits according to a current condition of historical thought. A biographic method, which allowed to connect reviewers opinions on the university history with their lives, national, public positions and general scientific views; A comparative method by means of which distinctions in positions of critics and geneticists allowed to track sources of the opinions used in the work. The results of the work are: the factual and theoretical value of reviews for understanding the history of Odesa University, the fuller study of intellectual biographies of the authors of the reviews, the importance of reviewers — V. Galyas and V. Barladyanu for formation a Ukrainian centrist vision of the history of university. And it in spite of the fact that some theses of reviewers have already caused the objections nowadays. Scope of the results of the work is the course of teaching of a source study and a historiography of Ukraine history, the study of local lore, the history of the higher school, the metascience. The results of the work show that in the source study a potential of the historiography of Odesa University isn’t settled yet. It's necessary to pay much attention on reflection of works within the history of Odesa University. Modern works not always consider potential of hand-written heritage.
