Анотація
В статье на основе опубликованных и хранящихся в архивах мемуарно-эпистолярных материалов творческого наследия педагога и публициста М. П. Розберга проанализирован одесский период его жизни и деятельности.
У статті на основі опублікованих архівних і мемуарно-епістолярних матеріалів, творчої спадщини педагога і публіциста М. П. Розберга проаналізовано одеський період його життя і діяльності.
Seven years of M. P. Rozberg’s residing in Odessa left a noticeable mark in the cultural life of the city. The epistolary and memoir heritage of a publicist is a valuable source of studying Odessa period of his life. The main purpose of this article is to analyze saved professor’s private materials both published and unknown, kept in archives. Basing on them expose the priority directions of M. P. Rozberg’s activity during his Odessa period. In the complex of M. Rozberg’s epistolary and memoir heritage, his private documents from «Materials for biography of professor M. P. Rozberg», kept in the personal fund of N.O. Lerner (f. 300) in the Russian State Archives of Literature and Arts, have a special value. It contains 51 papers and materials of various types. It includes the detailed «Autobiography» of M. Rozberg and the letters to him from A. Troynitsky, A. Sturdza, K. Zelenetsky, N. Pokrovsky and others, as well as obituaries and reminiscences about him, written by his contemporaries. The methods of biography studies are used in the article. Analytic and synthetic analysis of M. Rozberg’s epistolary and memoir heritage and his oeuvre point to two basic trace in his work in the period of residing in Odessa: teaching in the lyceum and publishing activities. Professor Rozberg’s energy and purposefulness allowed him to lay the strong foundation for the regional press development.
